Interfaces and Free Boundaries

This journal, that will be published by Oxford University Press, will be devoted to the mathematical modelling, analysis and computation of interfaces and free boundary problems arising in all areas where such phenomena are pertinent. Problems of interfaces and/or free boundaries are indeed of essential importance in the physical, life, environmental, engineering and other applied sciences. It will fulfil the specific need of offering a single journal devoted to advanced mathematics and a very large spectrum of applications. The journal aims to be a new forum where mathematical analysis, partial differential equations, modelling, scientific computing and the various applications which involve mathematical modelling meet. It intends to publish papers that emphasize the combination of theory and applications which has been a long-standing practice in meetings and other scientific activities on free boundary problems.
